The Life Path Number in Numerology and How to Find Yours

Numerology is all about vibrations and the symbolic meaning that each of these numbers possess. Our birthday is obviously a very important day because it’s the day we came into this world. Not to mention, we can change our name, but we can’t change our birthday. It’s one of the few things in our lives that we don’t get to decide upon.

Similar to Astrology, Numerology has more significant aspects within it. When someone says their Sun Sign is a Leo, they’re referring to one of the top factors of their chart. Likewise, when someone chooses to say they’re a Life Path Number 3, they’re pointing to the most important feature of their personal Numerology chart.

The Life Path Number represents the core essence of an individual’s existence and acts as a guiding force throughout their life. It offers a blueprint for personal growth and self-discovery. Knowing this piece of information may help us to see the likelihood of our literal path in life and where we will feel fulfilled and satiated by what we choose to do with our lives.

Another reason why the Life Path number is so important is that it reveals an individual’s innate characteristics and tendencies. It serves as a mirror, reflecting their natural inclinations and behaviors. This awareness empowers them to make conscious choices aligned with their true nature, leading to a more authentic life.  Knowing this number could help them to contribute more meaning to their world with their chosen endeavors.

In many cases, the Life Path Number allows us to discover what could be missing in our lives due to straying from the path that we deeply desire. It acts as a compass, guiding us towards our innermost truth. Having this knowledge may help us to embrace the path that we often feel destined for.

In addition to its personal significance, the Life Path number also has a societal impact. When we embrace and embody our Life Path number, we can contribute to the collective consciousness and the overall evolution of humanity. By living in alignment with our true purpose and values, first, we must know who we are. Then, we can inspire others to do the same, creating a ripple effect of positive change in the immediate future of the world.

Calculating the Life Path Number only requires one to know basic math or to use a calculator. It’s easy to figure out quickly and uses simplification as a means of finding it. The information necessary for calculating this number is one’s date of birth, including the month, day, and year.

For example, if you were born on September 25, 1990 (9/25/1990), you would add up all of the digits like this, 9+2+5+1+9+9+0 and get 35. Next, you would need to simplify by adding up the digits in 35, which is 3+5=8. Therefore, the Life Path Number for someone born on September 25, 1990, is 8.

A useful tip I’d like to share is that if multiple nines are present, you may only want to use one of them. The reason for this is that multiple nines will always reduce back to 9. For example, 9+9=18, which simplifies to 1+8=9. And 9+9+9=27, which simplifies to 2+7=9.

If you want to find the Life Path Number even more quickly, you can simply leave out any zeros. Personally, I also always add the day number up first; so, instead of 25, I would go ahead and use 7. This works the same way for the month if the month is a double-digit number.

With those tips in mind, your simplification would be this: 9+7+1=17 and 1+7=8.
